We’re often asked what type of sports safety padding we produce and the main differences. Well, we manufacture both standard and bespoke safety padding, they differ in terms of availability, technical specifications and pricing.
Standard Safety Padding.
The best examples of our standard safety padding would be our outdoor basketball padding designed to suit Department of Education outdoor basketball units for Irish schools & sports clubs. Others types of standard padding would Rugby, GAA goal post and wall padding. Generally we keep a constant stock of this type of padding.
Bespoke Safety Padding.
We have completed a number of bespoke projects, our most well known being the Ski Club of Ireland and Aviva Stadium. We produced almost 300 metres of padding for these venues, the padding produced was custom made and technically differed, as each client’s requirements were unique. Most of our bespoke work isn’t done on such a large scale, we work mostly with schools & sports clubs who require custom padding on items such as:
Columns, pillars & window sills
Corners of buildings
Railing & fences
Door jambs & arches

This outdoor court painting project was completed within 3 days. As standard, we used specialised non-slip vibrant coloured paint with long lasting qualities. Highly durable court paint ensures our customers get the best value for their money. Once the solid court was completely painted we then started line marking the tennis court.
Stratford College, Co. Dublin have 2 basketball courts. Over the years the original basketball line marking had become worn and faded. After consulting with the school, it was decided that solid full court painting & line marking of both basketball courts was the optimal solution (teachers of younger

After thoroughly cleaning the existing courts, contrasting non-slip paint was applied and finally line marked. The whole process took less than 6 days work and gives the school many years of use, fun and activity.

We’ve just completed another school playground markings project; Scoil Naomh Iosaf, Newcastle West, Co. Limerick. This time of year is when our playground marking service for Irish primary schools is most active.
Life expectancy.
We installed the thermoplastic markings for Scoil Naomh Iosaf last week during the wonderful mediterranean weather, these markings have a life expectancy of approximately 12-15 years.
Tarmac versus Concrete playgrounds.
Normally we would install these markings on Tarmac however the school’s playground area was concrete. This didn’t present any issue as we simply added a ‘primer’ as another step in our installation process. The primer along with the chalk lines disappears after a few days, leaving the vibrant thermoplastic markings.

An historic weekend for Irish Rugby; the 1st All Ireland European Cup final. It didn’t disappoint but Leinster proved beyond any doubt that they are the best team in Europe, possibly the best club team Europe has seen. Ulster put in a spirited performance, particularly at the begining of the second half but Leinster were simply irresistible.

A simply breathtaking weekend for Irish Rugby. Leinster now go head to head with Ulster, May 19th @ Twickenham. We had a gut feeling that it would be an “All-Ireland” Heineken European Final. Leinster did run it too close for comfort!

These goals are set at a fixed ring height of 8ft 6inches, powder coated or galvanised and completed with safety padding. We still recommend the Department of Education specified basketball goals but appreciate in these economic times that budgetary issues are top of a schools list.
